Foundation
The foundation component of the ASCA National Model is the base on which the rest of a comprehensive program is built. It includes the program focus, student standards, and professional competencies.
Accountability
School counselors analyze their programs to ensure that the services they are delivering are what is best for the students. The accountability section of the ASCA national model established a method for evaluating comprehensive programs as well as individual counselors.
Through this process, school counselors evaluate the effectiveness of their program.
Management
The management component of the ASCA National Model utilizes quantitative and qualitative assessments to measure the effectiveness of programs and interventions.
